DykeChow is a Detroit-based musician and DJ. A punk rock guitarist at heart, she translates her love of wall-of-sound noise and chaotic instrumentation to her raw and energetic mixes of techno, electro, and braindance beats. Her selections range from upbeat club fare, heady and cacophonous electronica, and fresh takes on new wave, punk, and house music. It is her staunch belief that art should be challenging and must always political. As a Khmer-American lesbian and transgender artist, DykeChow stands defiantly against the capitalist systems that exploit and oppress people and the Earth.

She is most known for performing with Detroit’s queer underground crews Apocalypse Rave Culture, Dolls Night, SIREN & Pillow Princess, Magnetic Rose, and XOXR. She has shared the stage with notable names in the American dance music scene such as Fei-Fei, Mx. Blaire, Morenxxx, and BMG.

Previous venues include: Detroit’s Marble Bar, UFO Factory/Bar, Leland City Club; Ann Arbor’s Club Above and the Blind Pig; and State Street Pub in Indianapolis, Indiana.
